WELCOME
We welcome you to the Land of Oz! I could not have chosen a better musical for this incredible group of performing artists. If you stepped into one of our rehearsals, you would be greeted with excitement and receive encouragement and compliments when you least expect them.

From our little yellow bricks, to our joyous Munchkins and our lively cast, we are incredibly proud of the brilliance, creativity, courage, and whole lot of heart they have poured into this production. We hope you enjoy following the yellow brick road as we celebrate their journey in bringing this vibrant and heartwarming show to life.

ACT ONE
When and where is student drop off?
Production Students: Drop off at 12:00 PM.
Musical Theatre Ages 3 - 5 and 5 - 7: Drop off at 12:30 PM (latest 12:40 PM).

Please sign in at the check-in table located to the right of the doors to the theatre (straight ahead as you enter the school). Please make sure your performer has time to go to the bathroom before drop off.
What happens between shows?
Musical Theatre 3 - 5 years will be signed out after the first show. You are welcome to join our group outside for a break, however we ask that you watch over your little one. Please sign them back in for 3:40 PM, so they are ready for our second show.

All Production and Musical Theatre 5 - 7 students will have an opportunity to say hello to their families and friends after the first show. They will then join us backstage and stay with our faculty for a snack and break outside before the second show begins.
Are Parents allowed backstage?
Parents are not permitted backstage unless they are registered Backstage Volunteers. We have a team of parent volunteers and faculty backstage to ensure your child has the best possible experience.
What about hair, make-up and costumes?
All performers should wear stage makeup for dress rehearsal and performance day in order to see the amazing facial expression we have been working on. We understand every performer and family has different comfort levels regarding makeup and a happy performer and family is our top priority.

Hair Requirements
Hair should be clean, neat, secure and performance-ready before arriving at the theatre. Please use sufficient gel, hairspray, hair ties and hair pins to ensure hairstyles remain secure throughout the performance.

3 - 5 Years: Low Pigtails
5 - 7 Years: Low Pigtails or low ponytail with a middle part
Production: Medium parted ballet bun or ponytail as we wore for the recital
What should dancers pack for backstage?
Please Label EVERYTHING!
• Full water bottle
• A cover up to put over costumes while eating (oversized shirt or zip up hoody are great options)
• Clean non messy snacks
• Quiet Activities such as colouring, reading materials or cards.
• Healthy Meal for in between shows (5 - 7 years and Production Class)
End of Show Pick-up Procedure
